John Spell

  General Notes:

Mabel Spell said that John Spell, Jr., was a planter and continued tob uy and sell land until 1815. He married Seley (Silvia) Harrell the dau ghter of Thomas Harrell, who's plantation was near the home of John's granfather, Thomas Spell. Seley's granfathers, Simon Harrell came fro m Essex, England. Simon's son Thomas left a will mentioning his daught er Seley. He left money for the special education of his daughters whi ch was highly unusual at this time. John, Jr. and Seley had four child ren and the family is listed in the Federal census. The children were , Reading, Henry, born abt. 1783, Seley and Dolly.

John married Seley "Silvia" Harrell.
