Mary Watkins Mumford was the daughter of Joseph Watkins and Elizabeth . Joseph was the son of Richard Watkins, who is thought to be the onew ho came to the "Abraham" of London in 1635, and was listed as aged 20 . He settled in York County and died there before December 20, 1669, w hen his inventory was returned to court. Elizabeth was the widow of Wi lliam Purnell, by her second marriage. She had married Christopher Sta fford previously.
