Anna Albertina Broden ^15,41,42

  General Notes:

Andrew Broden, father of Anna Albertina, came from Bollnas, Sweden an d emigrated to Chicago. Anna Edling, mother of Anna Albertina, came f rom Alfta. Henry's parents both came from Alfta and emigrated to Chic ago, Illinois. It is very possible that they all knew each other or t he families did while prior to emigrating from Sweden to America. Aft er emigrating to Chicago, both families moved to the Kansas areas of B elleville, Clay Center, Wayne Village (all in Republic County, Kansas) .

Wayne Journal, 31 Dec 1909: Henry Englund and family spent ChristmasI n Clay Center with Mrs. Englund's mother, Mrs. A. Brodeen. Mr. Englun d returned Saturday evening and the rest of the family will remain sev eral days with relatives. (KS Historical Society, Kansas Collection , Microfilm W 2704)

Wayne Journal, 11 Mar 1910: John Brodeen and wife of Clay Center, cam e up this week to visit a few days with his sister, Mrs. Henry Englun d and family. (Author's Note: This is the Mrs. Broden who was Donal d Broden's mother. Donald was adopted by Henry and Albertina Englundw hen his mother died. Anna married Henry Englund, son of Olof Hansson Englund and Brita Olsdotter, on Feb 22, 1893 in Wayne, Kansas. (Henry Englund was born on Oct 10, 1869 in Alfta Parish, Gävleborg Län, Sweden and died on Aug 10, 1957 in Wayne, Kansas.)
