TIOGA - Irene Locken, 91, long-time rural Tioga resident, died died Su nday in a Minot nursing home. Her funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m . in Norman Lutheran Church, northeast of Tioga, with burial in the ch urch cemetery.
She was born June 8, 1899, near Crookston, Minnesota, to Thorsten andA nn Marie Hogenson. The family moved to Winger, Minnesota when she wa s a child. She married Carl Locken Oct 16, 1927 and they establishe d their home on his farm in Bicker Township, Mountrail County, northea st of Tioga. He died July 22, 1965. She continues to live on the far m. In later years she spent the winter months with her daughter in Ha ger City, Wis. She moved to Trinity Nursing Home in July 1988 and rec ently to the Americana Nursing Home, both Minot.
She was a member of the Norman Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid ands erved as church organist for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Tioga Senior Citizens.
Survivors: daughter, Ardith Strain, Hager City, Wis; sons, Clayton, M inot, LeRoy, Billings, Mont; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchil dren.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 P.M. in Rhode Funeral Home , Tioga.
