The general context of the will is:

To wife Ruth: Eight Negroes (Joseph, Cate, James, Charles, Sall, Din ah, Dick & David) natural life. Also left the land and plantation whe reon they lived.
Son Joell Cash was given 100 acres of land joining the land on which h e lives and two Negroes (Phil & Dick, a boy which said boy Dick I giv e to my grandson Howard, the son of Joell Cash, after the Death of mys aid son, Joel).
To daughter Mary Lively a Negro wench named Sarah.
To son Benjamin 400 acres of land adjacent to land that is at presentt he property of Capt Aaron Higginbotham, and the land whereon I live an d also a Negro fellow named James whom I purchased of Mr. Thomas Mitch el.
Lend to daughter Rosanna a Negro wench named Fellis during her life a nd after her decease to my grandson Micajah.
Lend to daughter Ann Powell a young Negro wench named Peg during her l ife and after her decease to her heirs.
Son Robert: 240 acres of land lying between the land whereon I live a nd Stephen Cashes land moreover.
Son Robert: 400 acres of land which I have left to my wife after herd ecease and a Negro fellow named John, also a bed and furniture, and tw o cows.
Daughter Maryann: A Negro boy named Ralph, also bed, furniture, a cow , and a colt.
Daughter Ruth: A Negro girl named Nell, a fed and furniture, a cow,a calf.
Daughter Elizabeth Nuckles: 30 pounds to be raised out of my Estate w hich I willed to my wife, to be paid in ten years by an order for 3 po unds a year upon some merchant as soon as it becomes due.
Son Stephen: 5 shillings.
Daughter Sarah Mays: 5 shillings.

The Robert Howard Cash migrated to Albermale County (later Amherst, no w Nelson), VA by 1745.

Robert married Ruth Elphingstone in 1724 in Amherst Cty, VA. (Ruth Elphingstone was born between 1693 and 1719 and died in 1784 in Amherst County, Virginia.)
