It is assumed that James and his brothers and sisters lived and worke d on their father's farm. James disappears from Granville Co. record s at the same time as his father, after 1840, and reappears in Marshal l County, Mississippi during the federal Census of 1850. He then move d to Clark Co., Ark in about 1853 and settled near DeGray. It is assu med that James and Amanda both died since they do not appear in the 18 70 censes.
James married Amanda Bledsoe on Jan 24, 1826 in Granville Co., NC.
