According to the writings of O. C. Cash, Abraham was a prosperous farm er and his name appears as one of the charter members of the Church o f Gilead (along with his father, mother, and wife); and he was their f irst Clerk. He took an active part in the affairs of the church from1 824 to 1843.
Abraham was killed by a runaway team of horses in July of 1864.
