Wyatt was a soldier in the 9th Indiana Calvary along with his brothers , Andrew, and James and John. At Wilson's Pike in Tennessee, Wyatt wa s captured by the Rebels and was never heard from again. His militaryr ecords show that he was promoted from Private to Corporal. Age 19 yrs , height 5 feet 10 - 1/2 inches, light complexion, grey eyes, and ligh t hair. Born in Henry County, IN. Occ: farmer. Enlisted in New Castle , IN, September of 1863 by Volney Hobson for a 3 year term. He was cap tured by the enemy on the 1st day of December, 1864 on Wilson's Pike,T N. Appointed Corporal. Date unkown.

Clothing account last settled March 3, 1865 drawn sinc e $9.98. Remarks: Joined our orginal organiztion. Was captured at Wils on's Pike, TN by the enemy Dec 1, 1864. Was sent to Cahaba prison then ce to Andersonville prison, GA. Paroled April 25, 1865. Since that dat e has been absent.

NOTE* The LDS Ancestry has this Wyatt in their database WRONG. They ha ve him married to Cora Miller, and the son of Robert and Elcy Crandall . Cora Miller married Wyatt Crandall b. 1865 in Henry Co., the son ofJ ohn R. Crandall and Mary Ann Stevens, Robert Crandall's brother. I am submitting my information to LDS for correction on this.
