Margaret Elizabeth Cash

  General Notes:

John William Pearl and Margaret Elizabeth wanted to get married, but h er parents strongly objected. They eloped on horseback, staying overn ight in southern Kentucky with relatives, then went on to Nashville, T N where they were married. They lived close to her family until the e state of her father was settled. The land she received as her share w as traded her brother, Sanford, for a fine team of horses and a nice s pring wagon. They used used the wagon to move their belongings to thei r home in Rock Creek, where they spent their remaining years.

Margaret married John WIlliam Pearl, son of Robert Harton and Polly Johnson Pearl, on Sep 5, 1856 in Nashville, Macon Cty, TN. (John WIlliam Pearl was born on Feb 20, 1835 and died on Aug 29, 1927 in Hopkinsville, Christian Cty, KY.)
