In the 1860s Bennett moved his family to a farm near White Mills, KY . He built a log cabin with the help of the elder boys. Bennett rais ed his nephew, Claibourne Cash Wilson (son of Mary Cash and Jonathon W ilson) after the death of his sister. When Bennett died, his son, San ford, moved into the log house, raised his family -- then his son, Eve rett, moved into it and had a family of 12 children. The log house bu rned in the year 1953.
Bennett married Julia A. Fryrear, daughter of John Smith Fryrear and Margaret Heavenhill, on Mar 2, 1836 in Nelson Co., KY. (Julia A. Fryrear was born on Sep 16, 1816 in Cedar Creek, Nelson Co., KY and died in 1906 in Rock Creek, Grayson Co., KY.)
