Aaron Ballard and Nancy Pearson Ballard were married January 5th, 183 2 in VA came to Indiana the same year in a vehicle called a cary all w ith one horse hitched in front of the other bedding and one chair onei ron and a few cooking utensils. They camped out. Grandmother said she was so lonely she would cry at night. They stopped to visit her Aunt w ho lived at Simmons Creek before they came to the farm they resided o n the rest of thier lives.

Mary Elizabeth Coble, Harriet Salome Brothers, Thomas Pearson Ballard , Amos Benton Ballard, Katherine Ann Garman, Peyton Everett Ballard.

Aaron was a private of Capt John Trimble in the War of 1812.

Aaron's mother died when he was 8 days old. His Aunt Patsy Pheasel wit h the help of a black woman raised him.
