Robert Crandall Spell served in the 121 reg. 9th Volunteer Indiana Cal vary. His death was due to starvation and diarreah in Andersonville pr ison. Shortly after his release from Andersonville, he died in a POW H ospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He is buired in Beaufort, South Caro lina National Cemetary, Section 8, grave #59.
