Rufus Houchins was born (1829-1903) one mile south of Greenville, W.VA ., and lived in that community all of his life. He is buried in the Ke aton Cemetary. He served as the trustee of the Cook's Run school in 18 96. He married Margaret Bibb from Amherst Co., VA in 1855. She was th e daughter of Martin T. and Harriet Bibb. The marriage was performed b y Rev. Sivermore. Rufus and Margaret had 11 children: Laura, William M ., Mary S., Emma Harriet, Edward M., Ida E., Charles, Thompson, Walte r Ryan, Thomas Clinton, Omer R., and Lucy R.
