Granville was an old time school teacher to whom the writer of this pa ragraph went to shcool in 1899-1900 on the Old State Road north of Spa nishburg, W.VA. His children, Maude and Gilmer were both teachers andg raduates of Concord State Normal School.
Granville married Mollie Ballard, daughter of John Ballard and Jane Dennis, about 1870 in West Virginia. (Mollie Ballard was born about 1855 in Monroe Co., VA.)
