Did not come to Kentucky with the rest of the family, but lived for as hort time in Washington Co., PA where he appears in records as Jonatha n Hornet. In 1778-83 Jonathan Arned, lieutenant, is mentioned in PAAr chives, 3rd Ser. XXIII, among Rangers in Washington County.
He married his cousin.
