Edward Edling

Death notice of 1957: A native of Clay Center, the Rev. Eddie Edlingw as the son of Olof and Martha Nelson Edling, who were pioneers in thi s country from Sweden. He was reared on his parents farm where he dev eloped a skill in building and in mechanics. He completed his educati on at the Nebraska Wesleyan College and did graduate work at Boston Un iversity School of Theology. He taught at Hampton Institute, VA. Rev . and Mrs. Edling sailed for Africa in 1921. The Edlings returned in1 950 and Rev. Edling worked at Scarritt College in Tennessee.

Edward married Leila Childs on Oct 22, 1920.
